These are my New Year’s Resolutions for 2013:
1. Realize a 2x improvement in gross revenue in my mobile apps business. I am uber passionate about this goal because I am tired of being in-debt and broke. I took out a huge six figure loan to do my graduate school program, and I hate debt because it’s this nagging problem that affects every decision I make about my future. A 2x improvement in revenue won’t pay off my loan completely, but it’ll get me much closer.
2. Take golf lessons. Every year I try to work on a physical fitness goal as well. For the past two years, I’ve been trying to improve my golf game but this has occurred really haphazardly. And I am still a terrible golfer. I know consistent practice is a huge component of improving my game, and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to commit to a steady schedule once the school year starts. But my goal for this year is to just start laying the foundation by taking a series of lessons to ensure that I have the basics down.
3. Travel. I’ll be returning to the workforce soon, and I have a feeling that my travel opportunities will be severely curtailed once I start full time work. I want to take a massive backpacking trip across Europe, which is something that’s on my bucket list, before the year ends. Hopefully I’ll be able to see a substantial portion of Europe in about a 5 week period.
As usual, at the time of this writing, I’ve just thought of about 5 more things that I want to add to this list. I have this problem every year of trying to do too many things at once. Therefore I’m limiting the resolutions that I commit to the proverbial paper to just these 3. That’s it!
